Last week we went out looking for a good deal on a piece of carpet to put in the basement to start a playroom for the kids {and a little crafting area for me}! Matt and I went to Lowe's and started talking with a lady that was in the department, but wasn't sure if she was giving us the best deal. So she called the guy in from the carpet dept. to come help. He was a Big help! He told us about the scraps that they sell at 50% off just to get it out of the store. The original size that we wanted was 16 feet by 15 feet. However, there was a piece that was 14'11"X15'. So we were sold! He gave the price of $84 {without tax} and we told him we would be back in a few days with a truck and payment.
Well, a week went by and we still hadn't gone to pick it up. So we weren't sure if it was still there. But, Matt asked our neighbor to go with him to pick it up, and it was still there!!
Total $77, with tax $84... LOVE IT!!
My crafting area! A bit unorganized but we will figure it out.

wahoo! so excited for you to use the space...and have more play room for everyone! wahoo!
How exciting to have more space! More space to spread out but more importantly more space to decorate... what is life if we can decorate it right? Have fun. wish i lived there and we could do it together, looks like such a fun space!
