the happy travelers!!
This is the long awaited Dominican Republic {Punta Cana} trip that we recently returned from.
Our trip from Denver to LAX, wasn't too bad. They were my last moments with Jackson for 9 days. Once Jackson saw Gramma and Skyler he knew he was going to have so much fun! I traded Jackson for Randi and gave a few instructions {not many were needed for a mother that raised 8 kids}, and we waved good-bye to Jackson & we were off to the Domincan Republic.
Our travel to the DR was a little bit odd. Our first flight was to St. Louis, where we had a 6 hour lay-over, and slept in the airport till 6:00 in the morning. Then woke up to continue onto Miami, then to Punta Cana.
Once we got there we waited for our luggage, and of course my suspisions were correct... they would lose at least one of our bags.... YEP! I was the lucky one! So they said that it was put on the wrong plane after it got to St. Louis... {could they not get it on the right plane within the 6 hours that we were in the airport? seriously}. So the airport said that it was on its way and that it would delivered to our room at the resort that night. So Randi unpacked, we went to eat, and walked on the BEAUTIFUL beach. By the time we got back to our room at 6:30 it still wasnt there. After lots of frustration, and getting the run-around with all the spanish-speakers, we found out that the resort rejected it because my name wasn't on any of the paperwork as being in that hotel... AWWWW!!!
I finally got my luggage Friday in the late afternoon. And vacation was able to begin!!!

I love it there and can't wait to go back. The city is super scary, but the resorts are to die for. The resort I went to the food was sooo nasty. But, the homes we stayed in in the city the food was delish.
SO MUCH FUN!!! And especially to be able to share it with your sister. What great memories!
That looks so nice. I would love to take a trip like that someday. The pictures are so pretty, everything looks just perfect like a postcard.
