trick or treat... trick or TREAT LADY

This year was the first year that we took Jackson out trick or treating. Lisa and Spencer were kind enough to stay home with Daphne and pass out our candy for the neighborhood. Since Jackson was a gnome we weren't too sure if people would quite get it. But one of the first houses the Man opens the door and says, "oh a Gnome.!" We were impressed, but then he said his own son was a gnome. But the greatest one was, "Oh a Santa Clause." Really? Really? I can see maybe an elf, but Santa Clause? Too funny! I could hear Matt on the street start to laugh after she said that. We came home with quite the loot, and since J is allergic to peanuts... Matt and I got a few of our personal favorites, and so did Lisa! Sorry Spencer. He is off of candy till Thanksgiving since he, Matt and Ken {my father in law} are running a half marathon on Thanksgiving day in Georgia. But while we were out, we started sending J up to the door so he could knock, and he would get a little impatient and knock on the door, and say

"Trick treat, trick TREAT Lady!"

since most of the people that would come to the door were ladies. But we did have a few handing out candy through their windows {People and their dogs here in Colorado}. That was a new experience even for me.
