HOLMES Family Camping... Estes Park!

So I know I already posted about our trip to Estes Park, but I realized that it was a little too much with all the individual pictures. So I decided to make it into a slide show instead.

But first let me tell you about our camp sight... a little disappointing. My mom booked it online not knowing exactly what we were going to get. So we got there and we had reserved a KOA cabin sight and a tent sight. My mom wanted them close together, so they gave us the cabin and the tent sight that were the closest. But sadly to say they were both about 20 steps away from the main high way, and to top it off they decided to relay the assfault on the road, till midnight. But we stuck it out and just drove to the places during the day.

One day we went on a hike to Gem Lake. It was a nice hike, but a little intense too! it was 3.5 miles long, but with a 1000 feet elevation increase. so the entire hike was uphill... YIKES!! But as you can see it was a beautiful hike. We also had some time to just relax and hang out, play some games and spend a day at Lake Estes.

There was a volleyball court at the lake so we decided to play and then the boys (Brendon & Cody) jumped in the lake. It was actually too shallow to jump in, but they cooled off! Skyler was the only one, besides my dad that wanted to fish EVERY DAY!! He would get up and go really early, and we wouldnt see him for a good 6-7 hours.

It was Jackson's first camping trip and since we were staying in cabins i thought that Jackson would be fine and not get too cold, but he didn't. Every morning I would get him to feed him, and his hands & cheeks were ice cubes! So needless to say he got sick. Our last day there was Saturday and I got up early and took him right home to get him some medicine and to get him a nap. He really didn't get any good sleep the whole week. When he got in his crib he fought it for about 5 minutes, and then was out for a good 3 1/2 hours. Well i hope you all enjoyed the Holmes Family Camping Slideshow!
